A Journey Back in Time

historical ambiance attentive staff safe neighborhood

The hotel's historical ambiance struck me. The front desk staff was attentive and quick. The location made it easy to walk to nearby restaurants and bars. I loved how safe the neighborhood felt, even late at night.

The water policy felt stingy. Two water bottles were provided upon arrival. Subsequent bottles left by the maid came with a charge. Other places I have stayed at in the region, gave a massive water cooler for the whole stay.

The hotel features a well-equipped gym available for guest use. I counted three treadmills, two stationary bikes, and a selection of free weights. The space is air-conditioned and includes complimentary water and towels.

mixed experience at a historic hotel

poor service unhelpful staff

the room was always cleaned by the time i came back from exploring.

The front desk did not meet expectations. i asked for takeout utensils after bringing leftovers back to my room. the kitchen staff refused my request because i had not dined at the hotel restaurant. I found this to be unacceptable. i did not want to eat pasta with my bare hands.
